since the cast iron is by far, the weakest link in the assembly. I loosely bottom the studs (I assume you meant studs, not bolts) in the block with some oil or grease on the threads to prevent corrosion, then liberally lube the upper fine threads, washers and nuts with ARP lube. Something that's worthwhile after the initial torquing of the heads is to heat up the block and heads with a heat gun aimed into the main cooling passage. It'll take a half hour to get everything up to 200°F, let it all cool and individually loosen and re-torque each nut - if you mark the nuts and studs before loosening them, you'll notice after the re-torque that the nuts will have tightened up a bit more.
